Template & Installation GuideTemplates will be undertaken 7 - 14 days before installation to allow sufficient time for manufacture We would bring to your attention the following basic procedures, which when followed correctly, will ensure that the installation goes smoothly and any unnecessary problems are avoided:- The customer and/or a representative of your company MUST be present at both the template and installation stage. All base units must be level and fixed securely. All dressers are fitted AFTER the work surface installation has taken place. Wall Battens must be fixed securely where required - this is especially important where carousel units are fitted. Hob, sink and taphole positions MUST be determined when templating takes place. Without these details, there may be a delay in installation. At templating stage, all work surfaces MUST be removed and all appliances MUST be disconnected, charges will be applied for aborted visits. Extra labour may be needed on site to offload some worktops due to weight and size. We only provide a driver for delivery and a fitter plus assistant for installations. For installations you will need to supply additional labour on orders which have worktops weighing above 150kg. Every additional 75kg requires an extra person to assist with lifting. Worktops will expand and contract by approximately 1mm per meter, ensure work surfaces are not tightly installed to allow for this movement. Upon installation of their worktops, the customer will sign a satisfaction note, which should then be handed back to the fitter. The Fitter will also carry out a pre and post site survey. It is not unusual for a fine layer of dust to settle for up to 24 hours after installation. Maximum unsupported length is 300mm for all materials (any overhang extending more than 300mm must be supported). |
STAINLESS STEEL OR UNDERMOUNTED SINK CUTOUTS - VERY IMPORTANT
All sink cutouts will be as the sink manufacturers specification unless otherwise requested in writing. Where you have a display please consult the Manufacturers Technical Brochure to confirm the cutout is as the sink manufactures specification or otherwise, this will ensure that we supply correctly.
Silicone sealant may be rendered ineffective when plumbing the sink in, it is important that the sink is re-sealed by the plumber, or the 12 month guarantee will be invalid if the work is not carried out.
